The twenty-third chapter of Leviticus is talking about religious practices of the Israelites being legally in force for a perpetual term! (Leviticus 23:9-16). If Jesus fulfilled the Law, imagine the greatness of God, Who is able to perpetually satisfy—throughout all generations in all dwelling places!

God always wants us to come home—to walk away from lies, idols, distractions, and division. He wants us to head home—to the body of Christ and to Him.

 I tell you, there is joy in the presence of God’s angels over one sinner who repents.”
 11Then Jesus said, “There was a man who had two sons. 12The younger son said to him, ‘Father, give me my share of the estate.’ So he divided his property between them.
 13After a few days, the younger son got everything together and journeyed to a distant country, where he squandered his wealth in wild living.
 14After he had spent all he had, a severe famine swept through that country, and he began to be in need. 15So he went and hired himself out to a citizen of that country, who sent him into his fields to feed the pigs. 16He longed to fill his belly with the pods the pigs were eating, but no one would give him a thing.
 17Finally he came to his senses and said, ‘How many of my father’s hired servants have plenty of food? But here I am, starving to death! 18I will get up and go back to my father and say to him, “Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. 19I am no longer worthy to be called your son. Make me like one of your hired servants.” ’
 20So he got up and went to his father. But while he was still in the distance, his father saw him and was filled with compassion. He ran to his son 

(Luke 15:10-20, Berean Study Bible). God knows we make daily Prodigal Son Frolics and Detours, because He’s always near to our brokenness (Psalm 34:18). 

Children of God, for us God has moved in (John 17:6-23).

In a still, small voice, He reminds us continually of His love—that every good thing we may have comes from Him (James 1:17), including life in His Son, Jesus, if we open the door where He has graciously come to invite us into unity with Him (Revelation 3:20; 19:9).

God doesn’t want us to forget Who gave us our gifts, Who offers us true life, feeling free and becoming slaves to sin. Believing there are no limits when we turn away from God and block our own Way into God’s heaven. We were made to worship. Not satan. Not art. Not power. Not money and all the things He created. 

People say God is a forgetful watchmaker, but He has never forgotten anything, except the sin debt of all those who receive His Word (Isaiah 43:25; Hebrews 8:12). We are the ones who have forgotten the love, glory, and sovereignty of our holy God.
