Made a Way

As a child of God, I live in Christ, who made His dwelling among us (John 1:14).

1God is our refuge and strength,
an ever-present help in times of trouble.
 2Therefore we will not fear,
 though the earth is transformed
 and the mountains are toppled
into the depths of the seas,
3though their waters roar and foam
and the mountains quake in the surge.

4There is a river whose streams delight the city of God,
the holy place where the Most High dwells.
5God is within her; she will not be moved.

(Psalm 46). Even His name is a tabernacle, a holy place of security, like the booths (cottages, coverts, pavilions, tents, tabernacles), which the Israelites were instructed to and live in during the Feast of Booths (Proverbs 18:10). Again, this practice in accordance with the Mosaic Law was a rehearsal of what has now come—LORD Jesus in the flesh. In this feast there is a prophetic word of promise fulfilled by the Christ—dwelling in our Savior through our faith response to God’s grace.

As the Law was to be in force forever, my home in God is also eternal, because of what LORD Jesus accomplished by the love demonstrated by His death, burial, and resurrection made a way for me.
